Where Did We Go for the Holidays?

This month, we’re featuring the fun things boodle employees this holiday season! Check out what Sarah, Amelia, and Aaron did below:

Sarah's holiday photos

Sarahs’ Holiday:

Sarah and her new husband, Andrés, spent the holidays on their mini-honeymoon! They drove from San Diego to Monterey on the famous Pacific Coast Highway. Along the way, they stopped at iconic towns such as Venice Beach, Santa Barbara, Solvang, and Carmel-by-the-Sea. There was much wine tasting, brewery touring, and eating of amazing local cuisines to be had, so despite all the hiking, they’re entering 2020 with a little extra…memories…totally just memories.

Amelia's holiday photos in australia

Amelias’ Holiday:

Amelia left frosty Virginia to visit her family in Australia. She went to the beach a lot and got to see, pet, and feed a ton of cute native animals like koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, an echidna, and birds! Fun fact about echidnas: their back feet point completely backward (whaaat!) so that they can dig and burrow more effectively.

As you may know Australia has been suffering from the worst wildfire season on record with almost 12.35 million acres (five million hectares) of land burned so far across the country. Unfortunately the fires have lead to the loss of lives as well as severe destruction of peoples homes and Australia’s fragile native wildlife. The smoke from the fires is so bad it has reached New Zealand. Most of the firefighters on the ground are volunteers who aren’t paid, and have been working up to 18 hour days. Aarons holiday photos

Aarons’ Holiday:

After ten years in Chicago, Aaron finally returned to his roots and spent Christmas with his family on the farm in East Texas (mother, sister, and three great-nieces, nephew, and Aaron. Twins even!). He did not get up with the rooster, though. Aaron spent the holiday petting critters at an exotic animal rescue near his niece’s property, and eating good chicken fried steak and all-you-can-eat fresh catfish!
